I Sit Here Alone Today
I
sit here alone today Another
day passes in which I can say: “I
am trusting You, Lord to bring me my beau. The
date, or the time, I do not know.” While
I long to give myself completely to someone I
cry, Lord, Your will be done! You
know the desires of my heart You
knew them from the start. To
be loved completely And
to give that love in return, so sweetly. God
tells me in face of my spirit’s plea, “Not
until you are fully satisfied in Me.” “I
ask you to give Me everything Only
when you have done that will you be ready for what I will bring.” “I
want you to stop planning, stop wishing. What
I have for you will be the best plan existing.” “Just
keep watching Me Keep your eyes focused on my Cree.” “Keep
listening to the things I want to teach you Don’t
be anxious, don’t worry, don’t stew.” When
both he and I am ready God
has promised to bring him to me. “See?”
He says with a smile “I
will give you someone very worthwhile.” “I’ve
been preparing him just for this day. I
have the man for whom you pray.” “I
know you can’t see him just yet But
I will not forget.” “While
you learn the things you must To
Me alone must you trust.” “I
will give you a love far better then you could even dream You,
and him, will be a team.” “But
until you are both satisfied in Me alone- You
must wait until you’ve grown.” “This
life I have prepared for you is a gift from above You will experience, my dear one, the deepest love.” “I
want you to have this most wonderful love of your life~ I
want to make you his wife.” “A
union of everlasting beauty, excellence and love Him,
a gift to you, sent from above.” Can
I believe this? My
soul cries to His. I
do trust You for my future, my hope Yet
sometimes I feel overcome, and sadly I mope. To
mope, I know it isn’t right My
head lowers, and I feel contrite. I
think, and realize as I reach deep into my soul “God!”
I cry from the depths of my being, “I want You to be in control!” And
as I sit here alone today Another
day passes in which I can say: “God,
I trust you with my future, my past, my present These
single years needn’t be unpleasant!” I
give you everything I possess You ask, Lord, will I wait? My answer is a resounding “YES!”
