~ Classic Lemonade: A Traditional Favorite! ~ Basic Recipe: 3 1/2 cups water 1 cup lemon juice (4-6 lg. lemons) 1/2 ~ 1 cup granulated sugar Mix the water and the lemon juice, stirring in sugar to dissolve. Serve in a pitcher, garnish with lemon slices. Serve over ice. Basic Lemonade Syrup Base: 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cups boiling water Zest of 1 lemon 1 1/2 cups lemon juice Dissolve sugar into boiling water, turn off. Add zest and lemon juice. Refrigerate in a covered container. To use: mix 1/4 cup syrup base to 3/4 cup of cold water. For larger amounts, mix proportionately. |
